We, the members of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Everett, Washington, believe in God and the teachings of Jesus Christ and hold ourselves to be inclusive and responsive to all. We welcome into our faith community persons of all races, genders, ages, sexual orientations, and faith; regardless of economic status, nationality, ethnicity, marital status or abilities. Upcoming Events
- Sunday, November 23- Thanksgiving Sunday:
- Potluck Thanksgiving Dinner: Please bring a potluck dish to share. Cooked Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy will be provided, but we’ll need desserts, salads, vegetables, and side dishes; bring your own table service if at all possible.
- Food Collection: There will be food barrels available to collect non-perishable food for EITHER the food pantry or the VOA. The food pantry needs lots of protein, easy to open cans of fruits and veggies; and other prepared foods. The VOA is working hard to feed over 1,800 families during the holidays and they need stuffing mixes, jello, baked goods (cake mixes, cookie mixes, frosting); flour and sugar; vegetable oil and canned fruits and vegetables.
- Living Legacy/Organ Donation Reps: 2 Reps from the Living Legacy/Organ Donation program will provide a short mission moment as part of our Social Outreach. They will also stay for the Potluck.
- Saturday, December 6-9:30 am – Advent Hanging of the Greens: A large group of volunteers are needed to assist in setting up the decorations to make the church as beautiful as possible this season! It starts at 9:30 am and needs to be completed by 1:00 pm.
- Sunday, December 7 – Advent Workshop: After the service, there will be turkey soup and rolls along with cookies galore to decorate and eat or decorate and take home. Please contact Mimi or Peggy if you have questions.
- Sunday, December 14 – Pledge Consecration Sunday: Please try to send in your pledge prior to this date.
- Holiday Bazaar: Stroll through the Holiday Bazaar to pick out your baked goods and other potential Christmas Gift Items. Please have your baked goods in by Saturday morning, Dec. 13
- Wednesday, December 24 – Christmas Eve Service at 7:00 pm
- Sunday, January 18 – Annual Meeting
