Hi, my name is Von Flake, and I am the Security
Officer here at First Congregational United Church of
Christ, Everett. I was baptized as a Mormon and come
from a Mormon heritage but was put off by the Churchs'
position of intolerance toward homosexuals. A member
of my Alcoholics Anonymous homegroup, which meets here
at F.C.U.C.C., asked me that I might come to the
service here at 10:00 a.m. Sunday and I was impressed
with the warm and receptive welcome given by the
members. As part of my recovery from substance abuse
I have found a kind and considerate assemblage of
people here at The Church, in it's worship service
members, the members of the Sunday night A.A. group,
and the Wednesday night N.A. group. See you there!
